Answers, not a runaround.

Everything about booking, hosting, verification, cancellations, and your account — organized by topic so you can jump straight to what you need.

Booking & Payments

Pricing, checkout, and payouts.

Every listing shows one all-in price up front — the number on the listing is the number you pay. Eventa doesn't add a guest-service fee or any other surprise line item at checkout.

You pay securely through Eventa's own checkout when you confirm a booking. Eventa holds those funds — they aren't sent to the host right away.

After the event has happened — not the moment you check out. Holding the payout until then protects you if something goes wrong before the event, and it's a core part of how Eventa keeps hosts accountable.

Major credit and debit cards through Eventa's checkout. There's no option to pay a host directly or off-platform — every booking needs to go through checkout so it's protected.

Every booking confirmation includes a receipt, and you can find it again from your bookings list in your account at any time. A copy is also emailed to you when the payment is made.

No. The price shown on a listing is the price you pay at checkout — Eventa doesn't tack on a guest-service fee or any other charge you haven't already seen.

For Hosts

Listing, verification, and getting paid.

Head to host onboarding to create your listing — you'll add your service details, pricing, and photos, then complete verification before it can go live. Start onboarding

At a minimum, identity verification and, for some categories, business documents like registration or a license. Our team reviews everything by hand before a listing can accept a booking. See the full Trust & Safety process

Your host calendar lets you set per-date pricing, block or open availability, and offer discounts for specific dates — so your rate can flex for a weekend or a slow Tuesday without you having to message every client individually.

Eventa holds a client's payment from the moment they book and releases it to you after the event has happened — not at the time of booking. This protects both sides and is the same for every host, every listing.

Yes — choose Flexible, Moderate, or Firm for each listing, and it's shown to clients before they book. Compare the three policies

Yes. A single host account can have multiple listings — for example a venue and a separate catering package — each with its own pricing, calendar, and cancellation policy.

Trust & Safety

How Eventa keeps listings accountable.

Yes — a listing can't go live until the host's identity, and for some categories their business documents, have cleared review. Read how verification works

Report it from the listing page, or reach us through Contact us. Reports go to a human review queue, not an inbox that nobody reads.

A listing loses its verified status until an updated document is submitted and reviewed. Verification is checked on an ongoing basis, not granted once and forgotten.

No system can promise that — but identity checks, document review, and payouts held until after the event together make Eventa a much harder place to run a scam than an unmoderated listings board or a DM thread.

The Trust & Safety page covers every layer of verification, our review process, and how payouts protect both sides. View Trust & Safety

Cancellations & Refunds

Flexible, Moderate, or Firm — know before you book.

Flexible gives a full refund up to 24 hours before the event. Moderate gives a full refund up to 5 days before. Firm gives a 50% refund up to 14 days before. Every listing shows which one applies before you book.

On the listing page itself and again in your booking confirmation, before you pay — never buried in fine print after the fact. See the full cancellation policy

A cancellation made after the refund window on your listing's policy has passed isn't eligible for a refund through Eventa. You're welcome to message the host directly — some may work something out, but it isn't guaranteed.

You get a full refund regardless of which policy was on the listing. Because payouts aren't released to hosts until after the event, there's nothing to claw back — the funds are still held by Eventa.

Refunds are issued to your original payment method as soon as they're approved, though your bank or card issuer may take a few business days to post it to your statement.

Account & Settings

Manage your profile and preferences.

Go to your account settings to update your name, photo, and contact details at any time. Changes apply immediately to future bookings and messages.

Both can be updated from your account settings. If you change your email, you'll need to confirm the new address before it becomes active on your account.

Your notification settings let you choose which emails you get — booking updates, messages, and account activity — separately from each other.

You can request account deletion from your account settings, or by reaching out through Contact us. Any bookings that are still upcoming should be resolved first.

Try resetting your password from the sign-in page first. If that doesn't fix it, our team can help via Contact us.
