Eventa is a marketplace for booking event venues, vendors, and crews — think of it as a verified Airbnb for the people who make an event happen. Every host is identity- and business-verified before their listing can go live, every price is shown up front with no hidden guest fees, and payouts are held until after the event to protect both sides of a booking. Eventa is currently live in four cities: New York, London, Toronto, and Singapore.
Eventa was built by a team tired of chasing event vendors through unanswered DMs, phone numbers that led nowhere, and quotes that never quite matched what showed up on the day. There was no honest way to compare a venue, a caterer, or a photographer side by side, and no protection if a deposit went to someone who never delivered.
The fix mirrors what made booking a place to stay simple: verify who's on the platform before they can accept money, show the real all-in price before anyone has to ask, and hold payment until the service has actually been delivered. That model now runs across seven categories — Venue & Hall, Catering, Photography, Music, Security, Entertainment, and Decorations — with two of them, Catering and Security, requiring proof of licensing before a listing can publish.
